Hello. Question for the group.

Is there a way to reference layers created within a function without storing them in a variable that was already declared?

It's easy enough to reference layers if you just create them "manually". However, once you start creating them within a function you can't just reference them by "name".

If I want to reference a layer created within a function, is there a way to do it without storing the reference to the layer in another variable that is able to be globally referenced?

See abstracted example: http://share.framerjs.com/0oy6hy81pbgt/

TIA!

You can do it via subLayers if the dynamic layers are children of some container layer. An alternative approach is to give the layer a name property and identify it out of all layers based on name.
