Hi everyone. Im new to Framer and experience some issues around importing 2x designs from Photoshop. I have a PSD called [email protected] and after running the import, Framer inserts the import statement: Modal_2x = Framer.Importer.load("imported/[email protected]@1x"). As you can see, the files are exported at @1x and are therefore displayed incorrectly.

Exporting the assets as @2x.png works as intended

In some videos I have seen an option of selecting @2x in the import dialog. However, I dont see this in V61 I have downloaded.

Am I missing something, or is this how things are intended to work?

Hey Hans, I think things get messed up because you have @2x in your psd filename. We use that convention in Framer to decide what size to import in so I think that's where it's going wrong. On top of that we don't support @nx in Photoshop because they don't have the same modern export capabilities as Sketch.

Hi Koen. Thanks for the reply. I will look into that.

I had a look at the source file for the Importer.load function. I saw the scale option there, and have now used it like this:

psd = Framer.Importer.load("imported/[email protected]@1x", .5)

This solves my issue, and havn't encountered any negative side effects. Just wanted to share it with the rest of the community.

Cool, yeah that should work and is the proper way to override.
