A really quick question. For example I want to animate a button. I import the sketch file etc. If I want to animate the button I have to create a layer on top of it or I just have to reference the button and animate it?

You can do both! It's easier to animate and target the imported layer itself, though. Also, if you have multiple buttons from your imported design, you can store them all within an array and target them at all once, too. :-) Something like this:

buttons = [sketch.buttonA, sketch.buttonB]

for button in buttons
____button.onClick → ...
