This is how I usually animate non-framer properties (in this example I'm animating a dashoffset for an SVG path).
Is there a better way to do this? I have a feeling this is the cleanest it gets, but just curious if someone had a better method.
I made a pull request on Josh Puckett his SVGLayer and added animatable properties like so: https://github.com/jonastreub/FramerModules/blob/master/SVGLayer/SVGLayer.coffee#L81
I still feel like it would be nice to have an animatable property like .proxy or similar to easily hook into things like this without going to the length of creating a new class.
Not super maintainable, but in the past for stroking paths I've just made a css class and added it in index.html or an external stylesheet and just added the class in Framer on some event. This works better when you're going 0 to 💯
One vote for a generic animated value API.
