Today, we're shipping a major importing update.

This release is a workflow overhaul to seamlessly work on any scale or artboard. If you're used to designing at @1x β€” you don't have to scale your designs before importing. Within the import sheet, you can specify at which scale to import. All artboard positions are also respected. Plus, you can now include JPG and scalable PDF images too.

Benjamin Den Boer is v47 the latest build? I don't have any @1x/2x drop downs there for some reason. Also should the pdf/jpg import work with PS? It seems like layers are imported as pngs with ".pdf" or ".jpg" in their names and there's no way to address them because of a dot in the name. Layer flattening with "*" doesn't seem to work as well :(

Nice! I'm just curious about the benefit of retaining the artboards position relative to the first? I find it to be more work/setup than the previous way.

Luca Galvani

Awesome update guys, I hope the choppy animation bug I reported past week will be fixed soon! :)

Where can I download the latest Framer Generator separately? It is not yet updated on the github page?

Koen Bok

Ee Venn Soh I'll update the standalone generator next week.

Andy Jakubowski

Thanks, this is very helpful! Benjamin Den Boer on a side note, what tool did you use to showcase the import scale dropdown with a magnifying glass in the video posted here?

Moni Zhuang

Love this new feature! But could you add x0.5 later? When I use desktop bowser as the viewer in framer, I usually use x2 in sketch and scale it in farmer. In order to ensure the images and texts won't blur on retina display.

Jay Lee

hi,i do not know why in my viewer i can not see anything, pls help me

Vladimir Shlygin

hey guys in my v54 I actually don't have this kind of controls. Does anyone have idea why this might be happening?

Koen Bok

Vladimir double check if you are running the latest versions of Sketch. Please note that the app store version is not current anymore and you need to download it from the site.
