I’m having trouble setting up some hover behavior. (Thanks to everyone for all the help so far as I wade into more advanced techniques!)

I’m trying to put a white layer behind each cell that appears on hover to cover the vertical line behind it. But I can’t figure out how to get at the mask layers from within the cells event handler (see attached project).

Or maybe there’s a cleaner way to do this. I don’t love having 15 extra layers for an event that just happens on hover.

cells[i].on Events.MouseOver, ->
# add the following line
[email protected] = "white"

cells[i].on Events.MouseOut, ->
# add the following line
[email protected] = "transparent"

Oh man...that's so much better than what I was doing...thanks!

I swear I've tried adding a backgroundColor to a layer with an image before and it didn't work. But I'm glad it works in this case.
