Hey guys.

I'm stuck on something that should be really easy to achieve, but I can't figure it out for the last two days.

So I want to animate a layer (or a couple of layers) by clicking on a button (another layer). What's specific about this animation is that I want the layer to be 0% opacity (invisible) in the beginning, then it should go 50% (or 100%, whatever) opacity for some time (2s, for example), and then disappear. Ideally, I should be able to change other properties as well (scale, y, x etc).

Sounds simple, but I've got no luck experimenting with states or .animate.

If you want to help, please download this example: http://share.framerjs.com/clgx5x5wvz6n/

I've explained everything in the comments there.

Thanks so much!

In the screenshot are two ways you can accomplish that. If you want more advanced animation chaining syntax you can try this module as well: https://github.com/isaacw/framer-animation-collections
