We're gearing up for another big release and we can use some more beta testers. If you'd like to help us out (and take a peek at what's coming) download the beta at http://framerjs.com/beta. You can report bugs at [email protected].
Unfortunately i'm getting a "please check for typos" error when trying to register and use the beta. is this normal?
No, your normal license should just work.
What are the beta features, and can I install alongside the standard release? If not, can I revert to the standard release?
You can run them both alongside each other.
Autocomplete looks amazing, I'm liking it a lot! One suggestion: I noticed the Beta still has one hiccup that it's a bit annoying for large projects: when I close the Layers Inspector, the editor goes back to line 1. It would be a nice addition to prevent this from happening, so if I open or close the Layers Inspector, the code editor doesn't restart to focus line 1. Just a thought.
JL Flores Mena we know about this one. We'll fix it.
looks great! Congrats! 👍👍👍Couple of thoughts (using build 1969): - Would it be possible to remove the autocomplete when pasting, deleting or cutting code? If the cursor falls into an "autocomplete" position, even if I haven't started typing, it triggers the autocomplete box- I still find strange the color choice for each type of word group. Constructors, Language and Boolean have the same color (yellow).- It would be awesome to have all the CSS inherited properties, like "borderWidth" or "borderRadius" in the autocomplete list. But I understand this can be tricky technically...
Oh, and the Constructor autocomplete objects appear in gray, i wonder if they should be yellow?
can we have the ability to collapse/expand the layers' tree ?
when is the beta expected to be officially released ?
I believe it's a perpetual beta. It's where features are released and tested before they are released.
I bet that there will be some kind of announcement if there is something "big" coming in production as anticipated by Koen, or will there not ?
