Has anyone explored resizing and moving a parent layer being used as a circular mask while keeping the child layer, a much larger image, in a static position?

I'm trying to figure out how to move the circular mask around the image to highlight different areas, but can't figure out a hack to keep the child layer in place. I swear I saw something along the lines of "ignore parent x and y positions" before in the docs, but can't find it now.

I appreciate any suggestions!

I tried a bunch of different things but in the end had to animate the child element that's being clipped in the opposite direction to get the effect.

I think you're talking about something like this... http://share.framerjs.com/mb57ppc4la6e/

Yep - this is exactly what I was trying to achieve. Thanks!

Is this really the only way to achieve this? Seems so ridiculous that there's no setting to make the child layer not take on some of the values of its parent. I just want it to mask it, I don't want it to be followed around! :-(
