Koen Bok Did you ever manage to look into this? I just have a project where this would come in pretty handy 😉

Roman Viskin

It's a must for things like google authentication

Koen Bok

Not yet, I'm sorry :-/

Roman got Google OAuth to work in the browser and in theory, I should be able to get it to work from inside of Framer IDE – without relying on a popup.

Right now it's nothing more than a POC, but if you and other people are interested, I'd consider finishing and releasing it at some point.

I wrote this,

window.open('http://framerjs.com', '_new')

it work only in browser. is there a way to open the new window in framer preview?

Koen Bok

Hmm, I'll fix this in Framer Studio.

Someone on the slack channel asked how open a link in a new tab. Bumping this old post for reference:

layer.on Events.TouchStart, =>
[email protected]('http://www.google.com', '_blank')

btw this still only works in desktop browsers ;)
