Just watched the video. I'm stoked to try this out. I see that you support PS and Sketch. Any chance you'll be supporting AI anytime in the near future?

Hey Chad, welcome to the group! To answer your question, it seems unlikely: https://www.facebook.com/groups/framerjs/permalink/712819595511781/

Thanks for the reply. Makes sense, but that is a bummer as I think AI is far superior for UI than PS. Admittedly, I haven't tried Sketch, but I when I looked into it I felt like it was lacking a few key features.

You can always use smart objects in PS and still work in AI, then import the psd into Framer. Assuming you have both, of course.

Coming from a PS/AI background, I can guarantee that investing in Sketch will be worth both the time and effort. It's more suited towards UI design for the modern day designer. You can always try it out using the free trial and if you don't like it, you win either way. Sketch has a great community and there's been many contributions towards plugins which can hopefully help with your workflow. Alternatively as Guillermo explained, you can always export your AI assets to PS either as SO or bitmaps.

Both tools are fine, ultimately it's about the the best tool for the job.

I guess I'm going to have to give Sketch a trial run.

I really recommend it. I started using it a week and a half ago and I'm hardly touching AI at all anymore. Mainly just to skin wireframes at this point.
