Hi everyone. I'm just starting to learn Framer and have encountered an issue. I created some assets in sketch and I've got an animation that when clicked the image grows to 1.5 size before receding to 1.25. However, the time property doesn't seem to be working for me? The image below shows it at '0.25' but it don't seem to have any affect, it always animates at 1 second regardless of my setting?

I'm working in the trial version right now if that makes any difference?

The curve and time properties are indented one level to deep

fantastic, thanks!

works like a charm :)

Whilst I'm here, i'm used to using selection groups in axure. Is there anyway to do similar in framer? I have 3 of these buttons in a selection group. it won't be hard to revert the sizes of the other buttons in code but just wondering if there's a quicker route?

You could create a state machine like this http://share.framerjs.com/ogrwkcol305g/

thanks, I'll take a look!

I've run in to some issues further on from this. This animation works fine on it's own but once i try and do it in the opposite direction from the other button it breaks. I've type up some new code to show and can share file here

Once one of the layers has expanded, clicking on the other will restart the animation of the other layer as can be seen in the prototype. surely the other object should scale back down to '1'?thoughts?

What exactly are you trying to achieve?

Dan Clarke

2 buttons showing a selected option. when the user clicks on one (layerA) that button expands to a large scale (with an animation). If the user then selects the other button (layerB) then that button expands, but the previous button (layerA) should decrease to it's default size

that's awesome! i read through the code i think i pretty much get it.certainly the methodology but it's just some of the coffeescript syntax i am getting used to. thanks so much

Awesome

Jonas, this was great but can I turn it up a gear and use 3 buttons?

I understand how this would work in the for statement, but not sure how i would assign 2 values to 'otherButton'?

Jonas Treub

You could assign an array which has the other buttons or create a state machine

Dan Clarke

aha, OK, yes you mentioned state machine before. thanks
