I think the following has broken: i remove a variable and get the orange Reference Error alert. The studio freezes - i can't hit undo, backspace, etc

Koen Bok

Anyone else has issues? I heard people on twitter having crashes too but I can't seem to reproduce them.

Koen Bok

Sergi could you check the Framer Studio logs in Console.app for errors? Thanks

Koen Bok

I just pushed Framer Studio 1.11.163 which likely solved the hangs. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please let me know if you still have problems.

Sergi Bosch

cool. I was about to say i think it's a permissions problem.

Koen Bok

Why did you think that?

Sergi Bosch

It wasnt getting permissions to write to the css. Also its creating folder icons that look like native os ones - with a little console icon stamped on them.

I'm having issues with the editor in this update and also in .165. Typing in the editor seems to freeze. Relaunch helps but only for a few minutes

Koen Bok

I sent you a Facebook message.

Michael Bing

Koen Bok I am getting all kinds of freezes too in the Editor. Not great

We are on it!

Could you please help me by sending a copy of the crash report?

- Open Console.app
- Find the Framer Studio Crash report under "Diagnostic Reports"
- Paste the contents in a text file
- Send to [email protected] (or paste a link here)

Also, when I click on Custom Device snippet, I get this:

# deviceType can be either "phone" or "desktop"
Framer.DeviceView.Devices["custom"] =
"deviceType": "phone"
"screenWidth": 720
"screenHeight": 1000
"deviceImage": "http://f.cl.ly/items/001L0v3c1f120t0p2z24/custom.png"
"deviceImageWidth": 800
"deviceImageHeight": 1203

# Set custom device
Framer.Device.deviceType = "custom"

# Set background
bg = new BackgroundLayer backgroundColor: "#28affa"
bg.bringToFront()

# Create layer
layerA = new Layer
width: 200
height: 200
borderRadius: 8
backgroundColor: "#fff"

# Center layer
layerA.center()

Why is the background and extra layer necessary?

Koen Bok

Thanks for sending the crash reports everyone. Pushing a new build now.

Sergi Bosch

Awesome, thanks Koen and Jonas for all ur work. U've built a fantastic and indispensible product.

Benjamin Den Boer

Sander Värv - it's not, but we aimed to highlight the new screen size by highlighting it with a blue background. Would you prefer the snippet not to include the extra background & layer? :-)

Are local images broken for Custom Devices?
