Has anyone experienced Framer becoming unresponsive? I think it might be due to chained animations...? Anyone know of how I can diagnose where it's slowing down?

How many lines of code in your project and how many projects do you have open?

Arvi Raquel-Santos

201 lines and only 1 project open. I've also closed down other apps thinking that might be the root but no difference.

actually yeah, I have. Save and it blinks to a white screen for sometimes 30 seconds. Sometimes just on refreshes...

If you see weird stuff like this be sure to close the inspector. I've seen weird behaviour where performance really drops since the latest WebKit version when you have it open. I think I have a workaround though, I'll ship it soon.

Yeah... it's often the inspector as well... true.

I can often see console.log go haywire where it tries to "replay" the last x errors and then it gets bad. Remember that if that preview in Framer hangs for any reason, you can force quit it in Activity Monitor and just hit refresh in Framer Studio.

Ah... I didn't know that. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks Koen!

I never keep the inspector open since there seems to be another issue for me where it shifts my typing focus from the framer studuo side over to the console mid-type almost constantly.

However I did realize that it started occasionally happening after I connected to an API enpoint using `Utils.domLoadJSONSync`. Does this keep the connection alive or something that would cause hangs on refresh? I'll try to recreate it with a simpler proto that I can share.
