I'm trying out Framer for the first time, and noticing event.x is returning different values whether I'm in 'present' mode or not. Specifically on a dragMove event- is there a way to get the device-relative X via the event object? Seems it's getting it based on different origins depending on mode.

Yep, because all of the device is drawn in Framer, the x and y locations for events depend on your selected device and window size. You can get the absolute frame on the screen for every layer with layer.screenFrame to compare: http://framerjs.com/docs/#layer.screenFrame
