Has anyone tried using VideoLayers yet? I am having some issues when using Fullscreen in Framer Studio. I'm overlaying some controls on top of the video, and it's hit-or-miss if I can interact with them. It seems to work if I use the device frame/skin, but not in full-screen mode or mirrored on my device. I can't even programmatically change the foreground layers (x position, for example). Any ideas? Thanks.

Update: Playing around with it more, the problem goes away if I use the device frame and then change the zoom level to anything other than what it was when the prototype loaded. If I load it in an iPad skin at "Fit" zoom, then change zoom to anything other than "fit," everything starts working. Reload the prototype and it stops working again, until I change the zoom.

I've seen some bugs with the media player, mostly on Yosemite. Could I see your code to inspect what is happening exactly?

Kip Holcomb

Hey Koen, thanks for the reply. Here's an example with a layer on top of the player, and a little playhead that's supposed to show the current playback position. I'm on Mavericks if that helps, and when I change the manual zoom level, everything starts working; otherwise it's hit or miss. http://pastie.org/9625818

That example actually works really reliable for me. Can you see if updating to the latest framer.js helps? Just do File > Update Framer

I tried directly in Safari and it works every time. Looks like I'm only running into this problem in Framer Studio. I updated framer.js, and then tried reinstalling studio with no luck.

Hmm maybe it's working here because I'm on Yosemite and I recalled it reverse...

Here's a video showing what I'm talking about in Studio. If I change the zoom level or even use Inspect Element, it starts working: http://cl.ly/3B432w0I2P3t

Oh, even resizing the application window works as well.

I'm seeing the same thing. I think it's possibly related to using video layers? I tend to just grab the window and do any resize and the animations will draw again. Weirdly, I can tell the interactions were triggered

Jef Cunningham

Weirdly, If I didn't do a resize, I can tell the interaction will be triggered but not actually drawn/animated onscreen. When I resize the window - I will see the end result of the animation that hadn't been drawn onscreen.

So both of you are using video layers on 10.9 and see the same? I'll investigate this...

FWIW, I'm on OS 10.9.5, Studio 1.8.17 (532)
