Hi Everyone!

I can't seem to make the scroll work. I'm using the latest versions of Framer Studio and Sketch Beta. I have a group with large height inside another group. When I use layer.scrollVertical = true, I can't scroll anything. I use the inspector and effectively that layer is large and its parent short.

I've used old versions of vanilla Framer months ago before and this never was an issue. I don't know what I'm doing wrong on Framer Studio. Thanks in advance!

Jordi Martinez Ortega

yeah, run into the same problem. works on desktop but not on mobile

Giovanni Caruso

Had the same problem. Solved in this way (iPhone 5 with import from PSD file):

//assigned the static part of the project to a superLayer (i.e. navbar of a mobile app)
superLayer = navbar

// created a container layer to host the "scrolling" section of the graphics
container = new Layer ({x:0, y:0, width: 640, height: 1136})

// added the image with extra height (layer from imported PSD)

// enabling the scroll
container.scrollVertical = true

// pushed the SuperLayer forward

Hope it helps.

Thanks for your comment Giovanni.
Exactly the same problem here, when checking the log, this is the error i get: SyntaxError: Expected an identifier but found 'window' instead.

Thanks Giovanni, that worked, but in Framer Studio. When I try dragging in Mirror, it doesn't work at all. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong!

Fredrik Ampler

I had to install 1.7 to make things work again.

Juan Ignacio Serra

I downgraded to 1.7 and it still not works. It seems that I'm doing something wrong. The thing is that container.scrollVertical works on the preview with the mouse scrollwheel but not dragging with the finger. And container.scrollY doesn't work at all.

Min-Sang Choi

Juan Ignacio Serra did you upgraded your project with 1.8? then I think you should modify your project too.

Jaime Suárez

Yes, it's frustrating. I hope a fix is coming soon.

Juan Ignacio Serra

Ok, so I'm definitely doing something wrong. I've downloaded FS 1.7 and tried this simple code and I can't seem to scroll dragging the pointer or in the preview. What I'm doing wrong?

imageLayer = new Layer
x:0, y:0, width:640, height:1800, image:"images/framer-icon.png"

container = new Layer ({x:0, y:0, width: 640, height: 1136})
container.scrollY = true

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Koen! I've updated but my example in my last comment, still don't work. Am I doing something wrong? Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Koen Bok

Did you update the framer lib in you project with File > Update Framer?

Koen Bok

Something like that?

Koen Bok

Ran into a masking bug with symbols while I was working on this:

Juan Ignacio Serra

Thanks! It's working now, but not on the FS Preview window, but it works on the device!

Koen Bok

Remember that scrolling on the device works with touch and in FS with the scroll wheel.

Cate Meng

Hi Koen Bok Juan Ignacio Serra Scrolling is not working on my iPhone 6 as a web app(running latest ios8 update). I tested in FS 1.8.5, mobile Safari and on my old iPhone 5s as web app all work fine. Any idea?

Cate Meng

Never mind, it works now. Weird.
