I'm not understanding how you name a layer group in Photoshop so that it becomes a ScrollView in Framer - help?

To make a ScrollView directly from Photoshop: Apply a vector mask on the group (this will make it clip), and then add the word "scroll" to the name.

Add "scroll" as a separate word in the layer group name?

I.e. LayerGroupName Scroll

folderNameScroll

Does it work in sketch?

Koen Bok

I think it should. cc Cemre?

sketch and ps exporters use the same JS file to interpret the names (framerps.js) so i think it should

Cemre Güngör

oh but we don't have mask support for framer yet. so probably it wouldnt work.

You can easily wrap any view in a scrollview with code:

newScrollView = new ScrollView({width: ...})
newScrollView.superView = PSD.actualScrollView.superView
PSD.actualScrollView.superView = newScrollView

Fredrik Ampler

that was great, Koen Bok; exactly what I needed for my Sketch prototyping!

Koen Bok is there an easy way to convert a regular view into a scrollview? might be what we need

Koen Bok

It shouldn't be hard to write a little function that swaps out a normal view with a scrollview. In theory you could convert it too, but only until we have our own scrollview implementation.
