Sketch question: can't get the export to work - it just opens an empty checkerboard page (index.html). It that because I just copied the "Export to Framer.jstalk" file to Sketch's plugin folder? I tried following the instructions on the Github page, but the terminal command to clone the repository ("git clone git@github.com:bomberstudios/sketch-framer.git") returned Permission denied. Instead I just downloaded the zip from Github, and copied the "Export to Framer.jstalk" file into Sketch's plugin folder. That part seems to work, the menu item appears in Sketch. What am I missing?

What version of Sketch are you running?

Fredrik Ampler

2.4.0

i opened the apptemplate.sketch from it's downloaded location (with all framer files included), but it doesn't export anything...

Koen Bok

Are you using Sketch beta? The app store version is sandboxed and won't work.

Fredrik Ampler

hm, it seems the export almost work: all images are exported, but the app.js file is not changed.

Fredrik Ampler

yes, it's the beta, 2.4

Then I don't know. Can you check the console for errors? Maybe tweet bomberstudios directly?

Fredrik Ampler

Solved! Thanks! (the console showed the framer.js file was missing:)

Fredrik Ampler

amazing help, thank you!

Koen Bok

Cool!

For the record: if you get that error again, the reason is the script is fetching framer.js from GitHub and sometimes it fails. I'm working on fixing that by including framer.js in the script, but meanwhile you can copy it manually as you did.

Fail loudly!
