Could be a Framer Beta only issue - certain layers do not show up in the Framer Preview app, though everything works fine in Framer Studio and in the browser through Framer Cloud.

Leads me to believe that Studio and Preview aren't talking properly :)

What kind of layers aren't showing up?

Bhaskar Ravi

It's a text layer. Weird thing is though that I have another text layer that shows up just fine so I can't pinpoint what's causing the issue.

Jonas Treub Looks like the issue is specific TextLayers created in design view. They show up in studio and once published, but don't show up in preview. Hope that narrows things down :)

Is the one that doesn't show up using a font that's not available on iOS? We are experimenting with auto loading Google webfonts.

Both are using fonts that are not available on iOS, so I don't think that's the link. If I add new Text Layers in design mode then they're not showing up either, but I can test to see if they do show up using the system font.

That's interesting. I might come back on this after the weekend.

So interesting stuff - I fixed the issue. I don't think there's a problem with Framer Beta / Preview (everything working w/ both system and custom fonts). But honestly I do not understand why the issue presented itself in the first place.

I was loading a flow component, and then pushing data into TextLayers within that component. Initially the code was as such:

flow.showNext('view to be shown')
textLayer.text = data

Flipping the two around got things working in preview. I.e.
textLayer.text = data
flow.showNext('view to be shown')

Might have to to with the way preview is handling calls? Because the old method worked in all other instances (which would make sense as it should).

Anyways issue solved - thanks again and have an awesome weekend!
