Hey Frameristas!
Thinking about starting out in VR development and wanted to ask for your opinion:
- Which hardware you'd recommend? Oculus Rift, Valve, Vive, PlayStation VR?
- Is it a good moment to buy or is there something new coming soon?

Would love to hear your thoughts! :)

Rift, you can run PSVR on steam as well as Oculus.... vive is a bit clunky but has better room scale. But Oculus hardware is a lot better.

What type of VR development are you trying to do? E.g. if you want a nice hand avatar to interact with the world with, I am quite fond of the Oculus Rift + Touch. If you want more of an experience to observe, then maybe Daydream / Google cardboard.

In my opinion, it all comes down to the different type of controllers and of course quality / price.

If you want to give it a try without spending lots of money I'd recommend getting a third party Google Cardboard viewer like VR Box or something similar. It works better on Android though. I am doing this myself and I have successfully prototyped simple things with Framer and Mozilla's A-Frame (nothing worth sharing though... Just crappy beginner code). Just make sure the controller works with your phone .. I made that mistake and I had to buy a different controller for my iPhone 7
