Is there a way to generate a new .jsx script? I fixed a bug in framer.js, and now I want to update the script with the proper framer.js. :)

I just completed my first prototype with framer.js .. now on to learning if/else statements so things don't remain linear. Right now I must refresh browser to go back through it. Progress! Thanks for all the help guys.

Update: Framer Photoshop extension progress. It has been taking me longer than expected to finish the new Framer Photoshop exporter, but for good reasons. I was originally going to make a Mac app that talks to Photoshop. Instead, I'm now making a proper Photoshop extension that is always available from within Photoshop itself. Windows support should now be easier. One advantage of this approach is that the getting started process is a lot easier. Simply double-click the zxp file and install with Adobe Extension Manager. Then when you relaunch Photoshop you can use it immediately. No need to manually activate anything in the prefs or remember to launch a separate app. I plan to open source the core extension as a separate boilerplate project so that anyone can make a Photoshop extension with a node.js backend and an HTML5 frontend in about 5 minutes. The Framer extension is just the first of many.

Having issues with a button I've targeted with onClick event. In PS I have the fill set to 0% so it's not visible. When I run the prototype in the browser the button is not clickable. Can I not have a view thats fill is set to 0% be interactive?

Photoshop→Framer 2 for Windows status… I started working on Windows support last night. The automatic Generator installation process doesn't work on Windows for security reasons. So, I had to tweak the installer to drop the Generator plugin on the desktop with a README that tells you how to manually install it. Not as bad as it could have been. For some reason, Generator for Photoshop on windows only works in the x86 version, the x64 version doesn't seem to support Generator. Once I got the plugin installed, I ran into another problem. I forgot that the node.js side of things requires some native extensions. So, I had to install Visual Studio and python and some stuff on my Surface pro. So, that's where I'm at for now. I should only need to recompile a single node.js module for windows and then add some code to automatically switch native modules depending on the machine you're running on. I plan to do that stuff, but not before finishing the alpha of the Mac version, sorry.

Not to be a bitch or something but the URLs of the standard App.js are wrong (now links to framer.com instead of framerjs.com). Typefoutje kan gebeuren ;)

Framer Photoshop Extension status: It doesn't work yet, but almost. I shipped the alpha version to a few people last night. Initial reports seem to indicate that the installation and setup process needs some work. In other words, Adobe Extension Manager wouldn't install it and after manually installing it it wouldn't actually run. So now I'm working on getting that part working. The good news is that I drastically simplified the code, so Windows support should be a lot easier to do now. Also, it's not limited to Framer. I plan to use this panel as the basis for my Quartz Composer integration also. More on that later…

Hi Guys, Need a little help for a project, how to transform a View into a Scrollview easily? I succeed by changing the overflow property but maybe there is a better way to do it? I export from Sketch if that can help you, thanks!

Hi guys! I've been struggling with mobile prototyping for a while and framer looks like an awesome solution! I've been playing with it for some weeks now... But unfortunately I don't know much about js, and I'm not getting good results :( I was thinking on starting a study group in london: come up with a basic prototype project and maybe meet a couple of afternoons per week till the project is done. I could document the whole process in a blog or smtg, so it would be easier for non-coder designers (like me) get started with framer, and spread the word among other designers. Now the question is: Would any of you guys be interested in teaching/coaching/helping in the project?

Anyone have a good example of triggered sequences? ie: trigger an animation and then 4-5 others are triggered in sequence within that view? example: bringing in layers of text line by line after a menu opens

I added experimental support for setting and animating css filters this morning. This lets you do things like blur, saturate, hue rotation etc. Great for prototyping some iOS7-y effects. You can try it out by replacing your current framer.js file with the latest one from Github. Then, you can start using it like any other property as in view.blur = 10. Safari seems a bit more performant then Chrome. http://cl.ly/1d2X032W0e0y

Framer Photoshop Extension Update. • Implemented Koen's design • Fixed image caching issues • Infuriation potential reduced by adding a crappy workaround for horrific keyboard focus issues (Adobe has been informed) • Added a Show Files feature • Other things too probably V1 will be Mac OS X only. I hope to add Windows support ASAP, but I need to focus on the basics for now. Private alpha #4 was released a few seconds ago to a handful of brave souls. If all goes well I should be able to open up private beta testing to a few more people next week. I'll be at Facebook HQ most of that week.

Just updated Framer to 1.5 with Filters and a bunch of other fixes. You can download it from the site or check for updates from within the app. Filter docs: http://www.framerjs.com/documentation/index.html#view.filters Filter demo: https://vimeo.com/76959002

I'm trying to view the newsfeed demo (and others) directly on mobile - to no avail. Tried iPhones, Androids. Even viewing it on the FTP or dropbox won't work. Only dragging the local html file to the browser seems to work. Any ideas?

Hey guys, Quick question. When I have a draggable view, why is it that I can put the 'DragMove' event directly on the view, but I have to put 'DragEnd' on the 'draggable' object? Here's my code for some context:

when I create a bunch of views in a loop with new View() and set view.name = "view"+i, can I reference this view by name? say view["view5"].x ?

Hi everybody, Thanks for letting me in :) I am working as Sr. Interaction Designer for android client of Talk.to (http://talk.to). Framer looks like a very promising tool in prototyping & designing interactions. I hope to learn Framer from all of you and hopefully use & share same knowledge to better design interactions for the above chat app. - Thanks once again

I saw Drew's post about Android and wanted to point iOS users to Clear Browser. It's a little awkward but gives full screen (hides the status bar). Swipe at the bottom of the screen to get buttons, star your prototypes to get them in the history/bookmarks screen. The performance has been impressive for a web view. If anyone knows a better app, please share!

Hey guys! I'm new here, i'm falling in love with framer.js and was wondering if there's anything that monitors changes in the saves on my psd, auto generates assets in the background and refreshes the browser? Kinda like a live reload for framer?

Hi everyone, I work on a prototype and really like how FramerJS work! I have a small issue where I need some help, I try to change the opacity of a button with that command : temporaryListButton.opacity = 1; It change the state of opacity in the object but don't change it on the inline CSS, it keep staying on {opacity : 0}.. Any idea where I can look to solve the problem? (can send a link to the project on DM if needed)

Anyone know a good browser for Android (Galaxy S4) to run prototypes in? Dolphin seems like the best one but blows pretty hard for these purposes nonetheless...

Framer getChildView I repeatedly find myself running loops on a view's subviews and matching the name to a string with indexof. I made a function to make my code prettier and more readable, I hope it's helpful! https://gist.github.com/carambula/7229119
